my name is Carl McMahon, I am 17 years old and I am extremely passionate about theater and the impact it makes on people’s lives. I am messaging you on behalf of Thespian Troupe #5712.
Forest Grove high school is putting on a one act production called “Lockdown”. Lockdown is fully student directed and focuses on events within America right now.
Summary: “In a dark classroom, eight students sit in an “official lockdown,” not knowing if it’s just a drill or an actual emergency. When a hysterical younger girl bolts from the room and the teacher follows, the remaining students are left alone to decide if it’s safer to stay or run.”
All proceedings from Lockdown will go to Troop #5712 and will help get our competitors to Oregon Thespians State Competition in April
Thespians State Competition is a 3-day event featuring over 1,000 students, hundreds of educational workshops, one-act plays, and competitions. This gives our troupe members college opportunities and scholarships, as well as direct training from real world professionals in preforming and tech. We have the privilege to go this year and would love your support on our funding.
Our request is a post or something like that on your page or somewhere where it would be viewed a lot because we know it would gain a ton of traction and hopefully bring in a huge audience.
This is a one night only event on March 17th at 6pm at Forest Grove High School.
