Description
On Saturday, November 1, 2025 (11 AM–4 PM), Seisuke Knife invites cooking enthusiasts, collectors, and design lovers alike to its Portland Annex for a one-day-only Build-A-Knife Workshop — where every participant creates a one-of-a-kind Japanese knife from blade to handle.
Guests can choose from a curated selection of premium Japanese blades — from compact Petty knives to professional-grade Gyuto and Sujihiki styles — and pair them with handcrafted handles in a variety of woods and finishes. Seisuke’s master craftsman will assemble each knife on site, and every guest will receive custom engraving (up to 15 characters) included with purchase.
Knife sizes and pricing:
- Small (Petty/Utility) – $195
- Medium (Santoku/Nakiri) – $245
- Large (Gyuto/Sujihiki) – $275
Quantities are limited and available only while supplies last.
Perfect for holiday gifting or anyone passionate about the art of Japanese craftsmanship, this immersive workshop offers a rare look at Seisuke’s knife-making process — and a chance to take home a culinary heirloom built by hand.
