Description
The Wild Coast Final Festival is celebrating its 3rd year of bringing wildlife and conservation films from renowned regional and international storytellers to Astoria, OR, highlighting stories of untamed wildness and the indomitable human spirit. With film blocks spanning wildlife, adventure and science, screenings will be held at the historic Columbian Theater. Online viewing is also available.
The four days of festivities will also include: community building pop-up events and panel discussions; educational and art-focused nature walks led by award winning wildlife photojournalists (National Geographic, Smithsonian, Audubon, International League of Conservation Photographers); showcasing of local and regional businesses and non-profits; and, prize raffles. Local pop-up events and panel discussions are informal and open to the public.
Proceeds from the festival benefit the Wildlife Center of the North Coast, a wildlife rehabilitation and conservation education center that rescues and rehabilitates wildlife along Oregon's Central and North Coast.
