Description
This initiative, led by the North Bend Fire & Rescue Department in cooperation with the North Bend Parks Department, will collaborate with Oregon Bay Area Beautification (OBAB), the Coos County Airport District (CCAD), and the Coos Watershed Association to develop local solutions for enhancing defensible space in our community.
The OSFM received 58 applications requesting a total of $4,110,131. From this competitive pool, 40 recipients were awarded $2,936,981.
Projects receiving funding were prioritized based on the following criteria:
• Impact on high-wildfire risk areas
• Support for socially vulnerable communities
• Focus on the built environment
